Madhusudan Kalelkar is a renowned Hindi writer who has written plays, books, films, and many other works about cinema. He has written 29 plays and 111 films in Marathi and Hindi. Madhusudan has written on many topics like comedy, social issues, family, and other serious issues. He has written Hindi movies like 'Baat Ek Raat Ki,' 'Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye,' ' Bluff Master Click to look into! >> Read More... ,' 'Geet Gaata Chal,' 'Jhumru,' 'Faraar,' 'Akhion Ke Zarokhon Se,' etc. Many of his plays have also been experimented with in the Gujarati language, and there are many plays in Marathi and Hindi.
Madhusudan Kalelkar was also honoured with the Best Screenplay Award in 1978 for his best film, 'Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye'. He has won nine awards in total at the Maharashtra State Marathi Film Festival for different categories and different films like 'Aparadha,' 'Pahu Re Kety Vat,' 'Ami Jato Amuchy Gaava' (the film won two awards), "Baal Gau Kashi Angai." Madhusudan Kalelkar passed away on 17th December 1985 at his residence at the age of 61.
