Mehran Amrohi

Mehran Amrohi is an Indian writer, producer, and director. He is from Lakra, Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. The Amrohi family was quite close to literature, influenced by Urdu Poet and philosopher, Nasim Amrohi. Mehran not only knew him, he had spent time with the poet in his childhood. The film went to many film festivals in foreign countries like America, Russia, Iran and many European countries. The movie won several accolades and honours that brought fame to Mehran. It also won an award at the Indian Government Film Festival, ‘Golden Elephant’.
