Anushka Mehrotra is an Indian freelance screenwriter. She completed her school education at the Kodaikanal International School, where she was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and French languages. She has been living in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Anushka Mehrotra interned under the creative team which handles the account of India’s largest cosmetic company, Lakme. She got the opportunity to witness the development of the company’s latest campaign from photography to the layout. She was a paid freelance editor at Times Food Guide for two months, where she assisted edit and re-write reviews for the 2014 edition of the Mumbai Times Food Guide. For six months (Jun 2013- Nov 2013), she was the Junior Board Member at TATA Literature Live! in Mumbai. She was involved in the process from the planning stages, assisting with the development of session ideas, handling correspondence, compiling document relevant data, and editing the festival brochure. During the festival (Literature Live!), she led a team at the participant registration desk. Also, she did pay interned at Avid Learning for a month. She assisted with organizing events and was involved in several aspects of event planning including creating posters, composing press release notes, finding contact information, assisting with social media, writing speech outlines, and spearheading a proposal for a new interactive and collaborative workspace.
Anushka Mehrotra did a summer internship at Indo American Arts Council in New York City. She worked mainly on the organization of the upcoming Indo-American Arts Council Lit Fest and was involved in organizing other activities including the Erasing Borders Art Show, Erasing Borders Dance Show, and a comedy Evening featuring Papa CJ. She was a part-time personal assistant for two doctors, and handled a variety of administrative tasks & ran a wide range of miscellaneous errands for them. She was a Corporate Communications Assistant in Greater New York City for a year. She monitored competitor & daily clips, and scholastic & non-scholastic mentions, and also wrote & published numerous stories for the corporate blog. She worked as a writer at Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures. She developed stories and wrote screenplays for Amazon Prime Web Series titled “Mumbai Diaries 26/11.” Also, she assisted, developed, and helped on various other film and television projects.
