Suman Ganguli

Suman Ganguli is an award-winning writer, art director, and director based in Mumbai, who works in the Bollywood movie industry. He is an alumnus of Delhi University. Suman is the founder and creative head of Entecave Media Pvt. Ltd., which produces movies and creates content for print and electronic media.

He has an extensive expertise in the film business. In 2009, he served as the Second Unit Director or Assistant Director for the successful TV programme, " Uttar Katha Uttar Katha is the Hindi television drama serial a >> Read More... ". This TV drama is based on Naresh Mehta's famous novel "Uttar Katha", which won the Jnan Pith Award. It's a family drama that depicts a variety of emotions such as love, hate, sacrifice, and selfishness, among others. Besides, he worked as an art director for Aditya Om's film, "The Dead End" (2016).

The "Blue Mountains" marks Suman's directorial debut. Suman wrote and directed the 2015 Bollywood drama film, which Raujesh Kumar Jain produced. The movie was released in India in 2017. It highlights shifting human emotions and experiences beyond winning or losing in life, much like the changing hues of the Blue Mountains with the changing seasons. The movie was very well received and it went on to win many awards, including the prestigious Golden Elephant trophy for the Best Feature Film in 2015, and the Hyderabad Film Festival award for the Best Feature Film in 2016. Suman Ganguli went on to win awards at the Nasik Film Festival for Best Director and Best Director of Photography in 2016.

As for his latest project, he is producing and directing a short documentary called "Before I Die", which is set to be released on January 27, 2022, in India. It's an unusual tale of a social reformer who rose to the frontline and sparked a movement. The movement can preserve our world from the threat of habitat extinction. This short documentary has already won 20 awards, including the prestigious Uruvatti International Film Festival Award and the Port Blair International Film Festival Award.
