Tina Kuwajerwala (Nee Darira) belongs from a traditional Hindu family who are mainly into business. Initially after completing her studies in fashion designing, Tina started off with her own exports firm taking over from her US based uncle. Sometimes later, she was called by a reputed production house for an audition for modelling. Tina thought to give it a try and after few initial assignments she started getting offers from many reputed brands. After doing modelling for sometimes,

Tina met Hussain Kuwajerwala and the two fell in love and decided to get married. But there were many obstacles in their marriage as Tina and Hussain belonged from different religions. But ultimately parents of both sides agreed on this relation and Tina and Hussain got happily married with their respective parent’s blessings. After marriage, it was on Hussain’s insistence, Tina decided to participate in the Hindi dance reality show Nach Baliye that aired on star plus which marked Tina’s debut on the small screen and in the world of Indian television.

Tina was the only participant who had a non-artiste background. She practiced to improve her dancing skills along with her husband for almost 12 hours a day and finally her hard work was rewarded when she along with her husband won the reality show jointly through the judge’s verdict and audience’s poll. Tina Kuwajerwala is now concentrating on her business and plans to launch her own line of gowns and bridal wears.
