She pretends to be the daughter of the employer and also signs the contract on their behalf for the merger. While doing so, she falls in love with young and wealthy man 'Aayan Nanda'. Due to her fear that Aayan will end the relationship, she chose not to disclose her status. One day, she decides to tell him the truth, but it never reaches it to him. But on the very same day of their engagement, the truth gets revealed, and Aayan mother forces him to end all kind of relationships with Kanya.

Also during her brief encounter with Aayan, Kanya come in touch with his mocking uncle, Ranbir. The two had an unusual relationship and started to bicker back and forth whenever they come in contact. But the show takes a twist when Ranbir's mother asks her to marry Kanya or else she will disinherit Ranbir. As a result of family pressure, both of them end up doing tying the knot. The show features Kanya suffering from 'Multiple Personality Disorder' and she had different behavior when among different people. After series of twists and turns in the life of Kanya and Ranbir, both of them end up reunited.
