Ragini Shah is a renowned Indian actress who rose to fame after bagging the role of Dugba on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hindi soap, Saraswatichandra on Star Plus channel. Her family is from Mehsana but the actress was born and raised up in Mumbai. Ragini is a known face to the Gujarati industry; she has done over 50 Gujarati films and received six state awards, four of which are for the Best Actress Awards and two are for the Best Supporting Actress Award. Aside from working on Gujarati film festivals, she is also a director of television documentaries and short films.

Later on, she quit the Gujarati industry since she cannot find anything new with the roles and scripts she was in and then, she moved back to Mumbai. Ragini made her debut in the epic historical drama serial, Chanakya in year 1988 on DD National, where she played the role of Chanakya’s (played by Chandraprakash Dwivedi) mother. She went on to work as Rashmi Shekhar Nanvati in the Hindi serial, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka on Sony TV in 1999. In 2001, she bagged the role of Mrs. Janki Bhimani on Zee TV’s Chandan Ka Palna Resham Ki Dori.
