Mera Sasural is a Hindi television drama, which was premiered in Sahara One Channel. It was first aired on 10th March 2008 and ended on at start of 2010. Mere Sasural is a story of two girls named Heer (acted by Urmila Kanetkar) and Goldie (acted by ) and their respective in- laws (sasural).

The story revolves around a traditional Punjabi Family, who live in a small house in Jammu. Yashpal Khajuria (acted by ) is a professionally a Jagrata singer and a devotee of “”. He has three Children, elder son Shravan who is married to a girl called Indu, his daughter Goldie and youngest son Omi, who is an army officer. Omi married to a girl from Kashmir named Heer. Khajuria family is marshalled by Yashpal and his younger brother Bhushan who lives with his wife Sushma in the same house. Sushma does not like Yashpal’s family but she acts like as she is very happy with them. Goldie falls in love with Loveleen who is the step- brother of Sushma. Goldie marries Loveleen who is an insurance agent, simple and very soft hearted man.

Now, Heer started to gel up with Omi’s family and after all Yashpal & family accepted her happy, within the span of time. Heer became their favourite daughter in law. On the other side Sushma pretends to Goldie that she is very happy with her, but she jealous of her and her conspiracy plotting starts here. She tried to put Yashpal’s family in trouble and Goldie too. But, somehow they have managed to get out of the problem. The game of planning plotting continues in every few episodes of this serial. Every time there is any kind problem or trouble which could harm their family’s harmony, both young girls Heer and Goldie raised their hands to tackle or sort it to save their Sasural. Ultimately, at the last episode entire Khajuria family stays together happily ever after and serial ends on a happy note. This is the story of a serial presented on Sahara one network.
