She is known as Dadi (grandmother) to all those who love watching Hindi TV serials. As they see her, the serial ‘Jai Maa Vindhyavasini’ strikes their mind. She plays the character of Dadi in that serial to the lead female protagonist Gauri, a character played by the actress Divya Mallik. She made herself famous through the Indian TV folklore ‘Jai Maa Vindhyavasini’ which is the story of a girl named Gauri. She believes that that Maa Vindhyavasini is so powerful. It was directed by Yatindra Rawat. The story was written by Rajesh Berry and Yogesh Vikranth. It was released on the network BIG MAGIC on 20th of May, 2013. In this serial, she has played the character of Dadi (grandmother) to the lead female protagonist played by Divya Mallik. She had performed so well that she was able to make the people stick to their televisions whenever this serial was telecasted and was the reason for her popularity. Much before she began her career as a TV actress she did the role of a mother in a Hindi movie. It was a Hindi comedy film ‘Na Ghar Ke Na Ghat Ke’ starring Rahul Aggarwal, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Ravi Kishan, Narayani Shastri and Neena Gupta which was directed by Rahul Aggarwal and was released in the year 2010. The movie was a flick at the box-office, and so she wasn’t recognized, and moreover her character in the film was also too short. Later on, she acted in ‘Darling I Love You Too’ produced by Pushkar Sahu and Priyanka Sahu. It became famous in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Gujarat. This TV serial was released way back in 2011. By that time she had gained popularity in some states of India, but now she has gained a lot of fans with her on-going TV serial ‘Jai Maa Vindhyavasini’.
