Born on 3rd June, 1976, Poonam Narula belongs to Mumbai. A talented actress, Poonam attained a B.A. Degree and went on to hone her acting skills by joining the Ashok Kumar Academy where she underwent intense training in acting. Poonam made her debut in the world of television with the Balalji Production “
Mano Ya Na Mano”. This was followed by a negative role in Kahiin Kissi Roz. There was no stopping for Poonam. She did varied genres of roles, including a comic character in Shararat and a role with shades of grey in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

Nivedita Basu, after her character in Balaji Telefilms hit show 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay", Poonam won the hearts of thousands of Indian audiences with her spell-binding performances in the shows to follow. She was born on 3rd June 1976 and started off her acting career on the small screen by playing the lead role in Aurat, a show that aired on Doordarshan.
After that, she quickly caught the eye of Balaji Telefilms and was offered lead roles in several of the prime-time shows, such as - Itihaas, Kaahin Kissi Roz and Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. She was also featured in Kkusum, Shararat, Kutumb and Mano Ya Na Mano.
