Poonam is a graduate in History from Pune University. Born On October 23rd, 1980, she converted to Buddhism as she grew up and her mentor is Japanese Sensei Ijakeda. She is a huge fan of Shahrukh Khan. Her favourite TV actors are Shabbir Ahluwalia and Kiran Karmarkar. Poonam says that her biggest fan is her mother.
Poonam Joshi plays the role of Rishika’s Bhabhi in the serial of the same name i.e. Bhabhi. Earlier she quit from the popular daily soap of Balaji productions, Kahiin To Hoga, out of her own choice. In this serial she played the role of a simpleton Mehek. In sharp contrast she portrayed a negative character of a possessive lover in Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki. She featured in the cult show, Sasural Genda Phool of the same channel, Star Plus. One of her earlier roles was also that of Chavi in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. Born on April 18th, 1962, Poonam Dhillon is one of the three children born to an aeronautical engineer father and a mother who was principal of a school. She has one brother and a younger sister, both of whom are in the medical profession. She has two children, Anmol and Paloma, from her marriage with Ashok Thakeria, which lasted till 1977. Poonam, standing tall at 5’6”, had her first tryst with fame on winning the Miss Young India title at the age of 16. Thereafter, she was cast by Yash Chopra in her debut film Trishul in 1978. That was the beginning of a fulfilling career in films wherein she acted in about 90 movies in Hindi and several in regional languages. Born on 3rd June, 1976, Poonam Narula belongs to Mumbai.
