When she completed her schooling from Modern School in Delhi, she went to Jesus and Mary College to do her graduation. On completing that, she did her Masters in English Literature. She is now well known as an actress doing regular work in Television serials and also as a writer. Besides, she is also a fashion enthusiast and a blogger. While she was in Delhi, Orvana Ghai got the opportunity to give an audition for a TV serial and got selected to do the role of Manya. Initially, the role was given to someone else, who gave up at the last moment and thus created the chance for Ghai. Following this, Ghai headed to Mumbai to focus more on her acting career.

She then got the opportunity to work with her mother, well-known TV actress Kavita Ghai in the TV show called Dosti Yaariyan Manmarziya. This gave her a breakthrough and brought her recognition as an actress on TV serials.
