Nitika Anand Mukherjee is an Indian film and television actress born in Bareilly. She has four siblings, two brothers, and two sisters. His most notable shows include Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey and Ye Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. Nitika’s portrayal of Pinky Sehgal in the hit drama soap, Ishqbaaz, is her most memorable role to date.  Her iconic catchphrase, Oh My Maata, made her one of the most lovable characters on the show. She played Shivaay’s (Nakul Mehta) mother in it and was part of the daily soap from 2016 to 2018. Since she was pregnant with her daughter, she took a maternity leave to concentrate on motherhood. Unfortunately, the show ended in 2019 after airing 764 episodes.

She has also essayed other roles in various Hindi TV shows such as Sushma in Hum Ladkiyan—Maayke Se Sasural Tak (2008-2009), Vandana Sood in Chand Chupa Badal Mein (2010-2011), Kavaljit Gagandeep Dhillon in Sawaare Sabke Sapne… Preeto (2011-2012), Sunaina in Ramayan (2012-2013), and Manpreet Singh Bhullar in Bani—Ishq Da Kalma (2013-2014). She got cast in her first film, Kshay (2012), a black-and-white Indian psychological drama film written and directed by Karan Gour.
