Neha Marda is a daughter of a Marwari family settled in Kolkata. She was born in Kolkata on September 23, 1985 and her birth was celebrated by her family with much fanfare because she was the first girl child born in the family after a gap of 72 years. She was interested in acting and dancing from her early childhood and was consecutively winner of the popular dance contest on TV ''. She completed her Bahcelors degree in Economics from IGNOU and took up acting as her full fledged career.

She appeared in Imagine TV chat show Meethi Chhoori No. 1 as one of the participants. She was also seen in the serials Mamta in 2006, and Ghar Ek Sapna but could not an impression by her performances in these serials.

She acted in the role of Gehna in the extremely popular Colors channel serial “Baalika Vadhu' as a teenager wife of a person of 55 years of age. Her performance was superb in the serial and she immediately shot to fame by her performance in the serial. He popularity increased with the popularity of the serial and soon she became a household name in the entire Hindi speaking belt of the country.

After this serial, she took a break from acting on account of her marriage. She got married to Ayushman Agarwal, a business man from Patna. It was an arranged marriage and was consummated on 10th February 2012. but after some time, the acting bug started biting her again and she came back to Mumbai to perform the role of female lead in the serial Doli Armaanon Ki, which is still continuing with her acting being rated very highly.
