Gopi Desai is an Indian actress and director. She was born on 31st December 1969. Her mother tongue is Hindi. She married with Nimesh Bhai. They both worked together. Gopi came into the film industry as an actress, but she also directed some movies. She is a great director too. Gopi and Nimesh got separated now after a long 20 year relationship. They are separated because of some misunderstanding. They had a great life together said by Nimesh.

Gopi started her career as an actor. She acted in many movies. She debuted in the movie “Bhavni Bhavai”. After this movie she never stopped. In 1982 she acted in “Aparoopa”. She got a role in the movie “Om Dar Ba Dar”. She did “Dhoop”, “”, “Bhrashtachar”, “Jhoothi”, “Utsav”, “Papori”, “”, “Akayla”, “Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja”, “My Son the Fanatic”, “My Little Devil”, “”, etc. She also worked with famous superstar in the movie “1942 A Love Story”. She did a great acting in this movie. This movie won many awards. Her recent movie was “”. She was a good actress and besides that she also writes screenplays, dramas, TV shows even English plays too. She loves writing. She wrote more than 60 plays. Even she directed many movies. She won many awards for her direction. She won two international awards for the movie “Bas Yaari Rakho” in Remouski festival. She won Filmfare award for best documentary for the movie “Manzar” in 1995. She directed more than 30 movies which have been shown international and National festivals. She is a great director too. She won national film awards for best children’s film for “Mujhse Dosti Karogi” in 1993.

Besides that Gopi also acted in many TV serials on different channels. She acted in the serial “Chhoti Bahu- Sindoor Bin Suhaagan” as Amma. She also worked in “” as Kastur’s grandmother. The famous serial in which she acted is “Saath Nibhana Saathiya” as Revati. She appeared as Nani in “Tujhko Hai Salaam Zindgi”. She won many awards in TV shows too.

Gopi also appears in a movie “Sharato Lagu,” which focuses on the character of Satyavrat and Savitri, who are introduced to each other as prospective suitors and decided to live in together. Gopi plays the role of Satyavrat’s Dadi. It was released on 25 October 2018 and is directed by Neeraj Joshi.
