Achyut Potdar

Achyut Potdar is India’s dexterous and finest actor in the TV industry. Right now he is 81 and still serving film industry and TV productions. He was born on August 22nd, 1934 in the famous city Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. He hails from a Marathi Brahmin family. He did his studies from Indore, all his schooling, graduation and post graduation is done from Indore only. He is a university medal holder in major economics of the 1961 batch. He was also a professor at Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh.

Later, he joined the Indian Army and at the age of 33 in 1967, he retired from the Indian Army after achieving the post of captain. He worked with Indian Oil as well for more than 20 years, started there at the post of executive and later managing their cultural events and at the age of 58 he retired from Indian Oil too.

He started his film career in 1978 and took up his profession very immensely and never asked for the roles of his own choice, little effect of army background and corporate sector. He did more than 26 plays, 40 ads, 90 serials and 120 movies.
