Sanjay Jog, the highly popular TV actor during the 1980s and early 1990s was born on 24th September 1955 in Nagpur. Sanjay Jog had played in a lot of Marathi and Gujarati films, apart from TV Series, stage dramas and Bollywood films. Sanjay was in Pune during his childhood and he returned to Nagpur after a few years and he completed his 10th class in Nagpur. He did his bachelor's degree in science at Elphinstone College in Mumbai.

After completing his degree, due to his interest in acting, he completed the acting course in Filmalaya Studio. During that time, he got an opportunity to play in a Marathi film, Sapla, where Anupama did the female lead. Sanjay had acted in a lot of stage plays and one of them is a Marathi play titled Vastraharan. It is to be noted that the play had been staged 5000 times. It was first staged on 16th February 1980. Sanjay played Shakuni in the 800th show. Sanjay’s last release was Beta Ho To Aisa that hit the screens in 1994. Just when his career was flourishing, Sanjay Jog suffered an untimely demise on 27th November 1995 at the age of 40 due to liver failure. However, he will remain etched in everyone’s memory as Bharat. Sanjay is married to Neeta, a lawyer from Nagpur. They have two children, Ranjeet Jog and Natasha Jog. After the demise of Sanjay, his family shifted to Nagpur and his wife started practicing law.
