Anupam Bhattacharya is a famous Indian TV and film actor who became popular for his characters in TV series. Anupam was born on September 3 and was married to Paloumi. He was first seen in the horror series, WOH on Zee TV in 1998 where he played the role of Sanjeev. Then in 1999, he was in the serial,
Saturday Suspense where he played various characters. He played as Sudhir in Koshish – Ek Aashaa in 2001 where he was highly appreciated and in 2002, he was Bulbul’s boyfriend in the TV series, Kalash.
Anupam was also seen in several TV serials that includes
Kittie Party, Virasaat, Dekho Magar Pyaar Se, Who Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, and
Durgesh Nandinii where he played a negative role on Sony Entertainment and in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani as Arnab Dobriyal on STAR One. He was also in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai as Inder Singh Vadhera on STAR Plus and Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev as Ripunjay/Devodas on Life OK.
Aside from doing TV serials, he also did a cameo appearance in the Bollywood crime thriller film, The Killer in 2006. Then in 2010, he was the Police Inspector in the Hindi film,
Khatta Meetha. This year, Anupam portrayed the role of a puppeteer who rationally pushed the people to do crimes in the show, Shapath on Life OK. His look is similar to
Johnny Depp in the movie, Alice in Wonderland.
Anupam also entered the 12th episode of new thriller show,
MTV Fanaah on MTV India. This is based on the TV series, Vampire Diaries. He will portray the role as the head of the institution and at the same time, he will also play as the leader of the werewolves who will rival against the vampires. He was also seen in Life OK’s
Gustakh Dil as Harman. He is the younger brother of Don who will add some twists in the show.
Recently, Sahara One’s Who Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki will supposedly fast forward to 20 years later. Anupam is supposedly part of the show, but he was opted out along with Lataa Sabharwal, Ritu Cambow, and Komal Mahuvakar also calls it quits. A speculation says Anupam doesn’t want to perform an elderly role.
