Known for playing the part of Inspector Abhijeet, on the longest running TV serial CID, Aditya Srivastava (born 21st July, 1968) is one of the most recognized faces on Indian television. His debut into the industry was through a supporting role in 'Bandit Queen' in 1995. He completed his studies from Allahabad University, before moving to Delhi. He later relocated to Mumbai from Delhi, and became a part of numerous promos and advertisement projects, for which he mostly gave voice overs. His other famous roles were in Dil Se and Black Friday.
Although he keeps a very low profile, it is known that he has two daughters. His first film with a lead role was in the movie “Dil Se Poonch Kidhar Jaana Hai” in 2009. Aditya Srivastava is known for his ability to play strict roles that often demand much conviction. As a result, he stars in mostly serious projects playing the role of police officers, advocates etc. His strong sincere voice is another characteristic that has given him an edge over others, allowing him to become a very prominent voiceover artist.
He was last seen on the big screen in the Hindi movie Kaalo, a horror film in which he played the role of Sameer; a heart touching character where he stands up for and protects Shona from being murdered. He was born on July 21st, 1968, in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has completed his graduation from Allahabad University. He was married to a psychologist, Manasi Shrivastava, in 2003. He has four daughters. He is best known as Senior Inspector Abhijeet for his TV series, C.I.D. He played the role of the guitarist in the movie Paanch. He was also offered a lead in Dil Pe Maat Le Yaar. He played his first male lead in the movie, Dil Se Pooch KidharJaana Hai. He is also known for his work in Gulaal, Satya, etc. He is also a Guinness Book of World Records holder for shooting the longest uncut sequence in the episode named as The Inheritance of CID. He was also a part of Kaun Banega Crorepati. A song was also sung by Aditya for a CID episode that aired on January 21st, 2012. He was also seen in the 2016 movie Julie and Brina. He also appeared in Super 30, Bheed, and Bhakshak in 2022.
