Siam Hanghal, also known as Jamkhan Siam Hanghal, is a renowned Indian professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Madan Maharaj. He was born on May 26th, 1993 in the Churachandpur district of Manipur, India. Hanghal started his football career at Tata Football Academy (Tata FA or TFA), one of the leading football academies in India, located in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Later, he started his professional career in the I-League, which is the men’s second tier of the Indian Football League system, with Indian Arrows (formerly known as Pailan Arrows). Hanghal’s first season for the Indian Arrows was in 2012-13, but he didn’t feature in any matches for the team. As a result, he applied for a loan in order to get some playing time.
Despite an initial setback, he seized the opportunity to showcase his unwavering determination, turning adversity into triumph. After his loan spell, he was signed by the newly established Bengaluru PC for the 2013-14 I-League season. He played in 38 matches for them, securing dual net achievements, and also made his mark against the strong Mohun Bagan. His first professional goal was scored on October 23rd, 2013, when he played against Dempo and won the match 3-1. In 2014, Hanghal represented India at the under-23 level.
