Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey is an Indian cricketer born on 10^th September 1989. He was born in Nainital. As his father worked in the Indian Army, he moved to Bangalore, and Manish was 15 when his family shifted to the Capital of Karnataka. Manish has a sister, Anita Pandey, a cricketer who represented Karnataka. Manish went to the Kendriya Vidyalaya ASC Centre in Bangalore. Manish joined the Karnataka State Cricket Association and started playing in the local tournaments. He was chosen to play in the Under-19 team and played the World Cup in 2008, hosted in Malaysia. In the same year, he was chosen to play in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians. In the next year, he was selected to play in the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He hit a century in the IPL and became the first Indian to score the century in the IPL. In 2015, he was chosen by the BCCI to represent India in the One Day International. His debut was against Zimbabwe, and he had a memorable debut ODI experience. When India lost 4 wickets for 82 runs, Pandey and Kedar Jadhav stood like an anchor and made a 144-run partnership. He scored 71 runs in the match. In the same year, he made his T20 debut. In 2016, he hit his first international century against Australia and helped India win the match at the Sydney Cricket Ground with his unbeaten 104. He got a place in the Champions Trophy in 2017.
