Mohammed Hussain, born on 2nd December 1953, is a well-known singer and music composer from the Indian film industry. He is popularly known as a music composer in the superhit film Veer-Zaara. He hails from Jaipur, a city in Rajasthan. He is the son of famous ghazal singer Ustad Afzal Hussain. His first album, Guldasta, was a grand success in 1980. He is the composer of more than 50 notable songs. Mohammed Hussain won the Sangeet Katak Akademi Award in 2000 for Naar and Hamd. He was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri recognition on 26th January 2023, Republic Day Eve.
