Sulekha Bajpai

Sulekha Bajpai is a published poet and bilingual script, story, dialogue, and lyrics writer. She was born in 1970 into an urban middle-class family and grew up amongst many siblings. Despite holding a degree in Biochemistry, she finds her ability to create across art forms like Writing, Singing, Pottery and painting is her strength. She builds a strong foundation for the famous brand by giving timeless catch-up phrases like Melody Khao khud Jaan jao, Pepsodent Dhishdoom Dhishdoom lagatar kitanuon se ladta hai. After working as a cub writer in advertising later, she became the programming head at RadioMirchii. She is a multi-faceted artist, associated with big Bollywood movies as an assistant director in the 2002 movies like "Kya Dil Ne Kaha".

She worked as Script and Dialogue writer in Ram Gopal Varma's Naach in 2004, Jai Santoshi Maa, Hanuman and Sooraj Barjatya's movie Isi Life Mein in 2010. After a decade of a successful career, she quit her fruitful job to take care of her two children later, Her work in the short film genre received many awards. She won best lyricist at the Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 for the album Khamakha. In the short film category, her film Udne Do on Child won Jio and nine international Awards like Merit Awards for Awareness at Awareness Festival LA, USA.

Her story won a short story contest and featured in the book "Everything changed after that" a collection of 25 stories by 25 women from different professions edited by Aekta Kapoor. She wrote a Hindi translation of the best seller titled "Naari, Mard Banna Nahi Zaroori" of "Lady You're Not Man " written by Apurva Purohit which went on to become a Hindi translation best seller titled Naari, Mard Banna Nahi Zaroori. Her Poetry has been published in a recent Anthology titled Mumbai ki Hindi.
