Sudhir Sharma

Sudhir Sharma, the owner of Sunshine Production, is a renowned Hindi television producer. He is a firm believer in hard work and determination. He started his career in 1993 TV news programming and later moved on to the entertainment side of the production. He has done two-year acting and directing course under the international theatre doyen Ebrahim Alkazi. In 1996, he directed current affairs shows for Starplus with independent media, such as Janta Ki Adalat and Awaaz. In 1997, he founded Sunshine Productions under his banner. He began with directing ad films and music videos.

This duo has produced several worth watching shows as both have mastered directing, scripting, and producing. He then took a crucial step by shifting careers. Talking about Sudhir Sharma’s major shift from news to fiction, he proved to be a reluctant producer. This shift brought him under supreme criticism. Initially, he focused mainly on making TV promos for all the top Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs), Star Plus, Zee TV, and Sony. From Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi to KBC, the production house was known for creating launch campaigns. In 2005, the company finally got into producing shows and was flooded with offers to direct shows.

Sudhir's production house was a major step in building his empire. When he started the production house, he was never short of good resources. He had a mini creative team - right from the DOPs to assistants, writers, and creative directors – who directed projects for the company during its initial years. The production has won some prestigious awards like Indian Telly Awards(2010) for being the most promising Production house, and it won The Best Youth Show Award in 2012 for The Buddy Project. Sunshine Productions started a new company Aganpakhee Social Arts, to produce theater plays as Sudhir has theatre-related history and its first play was Amawas Se Altas.
