Ramdayal Sharma is also known by another name, Pandit Ram Dayal Sharma. He is an Indian singer, composer, teacher, and comedian who was born in the Samai Kheda village of Deeg in Bharatpur district. He completed his Matriculation at Delhi in 1964, and in 1973 he was moved there. The Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts (IGNCA) asked Sharma to do a performance at the International Symposium on Mudras in 2003. He was appointed by the Indian Government to the Expert Committee in 2004 and 2005 to advise the Ministry of Defense regarding schoolchildren for the Republic Day Parade. He was approached by the IGNCA to play Ramlila in Nautanki style once more in 2008.
Also, the Madhya Pradesh government invited him to participate in the international Ramayan Sammelan as a skilled artist and scholar. Panditji was invited by California State University in 2006 to deliver a seminar and play Indian folk music in Fresno, California, for the benefit of the students, teachers, and locals. He taught Nautanki at the National School of Drama in 2012. His original Nautankis include "Sundar Katha," which is based on Sundar Kand from the Ramacharitmanas, and "Beti Ka Byah," which addresses the issue of dowry. He transformed the Pauranic tale "Hanuman Ki Ramayan" into Nautanki. He has actively worked to introduce today's youth and students to our traditional culture. He earned the Padma Shri Award from the Indian Government in 2022 and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2015 for his contributions to the arts. Former Foreign Minister Natwar Singh had been awarded the Padma Vibhushan for his political achievements in 1984. Moreover, Pandit Ram Dayal Sharma usually broadcasts on television networks, including All India Radio, Doordarshan, and others.
