Mushir Alam

Mushir Alam was a famous Indian film producer, who was born in Kanpur. He was a high-profile producer of Bollywood and one of the most successful producers of the 70s and 80s. He owned a production house Mushir-Riaz, which was a joint venture with his fellow producer Mohammed Riaz who died on 21st May 2022. The duo was famous for producing many hit films which are still etched in the minds of the audience. In 1983, he received Filmfare Award for the movie Shakti. It was shared with Mohammed Riaz. He worked with many superstars and is known for producing many blockbuster movies. He was known for producing big-budget multi-starrer movies. He always worked on bringing diversity to his movies besides proving entertainment to the audience. This was the beauty of his work. He was admitted to the hospital after the complaint of uneasiness but could not survive much. His body was buried at a graveyard in Jajmau in the Chakeri area of Kanpur.
