Mitu Bhowmick Lange is an Indian-Australian producer and the founder-director of a distribution firm named Mind Blowing Films. She was born in Delhi and moved to Melbourne in 2002 after she got married to Roy Lange. She had spent six years in Mumbai, directing many TV shows for the fashion and entertainment industries.Â
She launched the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne which showcased Indian cinema to Australian audiences. She also produced many episodes of Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii which became one of India’s top daily television series. Mitu made four short films based on diversity. She also collaborated with La Trobe University to develop Educate the Educators[ ETE] which helped in providing teachers with the knowledge and abilities necessary to meet the educational needs of students with special needs. She was the first Indian in Australia to be appointed to the Board of Film Victoria.
