Ganesh Jain is a major film producer in Bollywood. Venus Records and Tapes is a company that was founded by Ganesh along with his brothers Ratan, Girish, Champak, Umed, Ramesh, and Bhawar. He currently occupies the position of Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

The company was initially started to manufacture video cassettes in the early years of the 1980s. It was in 1992 that their business was diversified by venturing into film production. Since then, Venus Records and Tapes has gained the rights to many video, cable, satellite and audio shows. The first movie that was produced by this production and distribution company was Khiladi, in the year 1968. The company has produced movies such as Baazigar, 1993, which turned out to be a super hit.
This movie was directed by Abbas-Mustan, the now famous director duo of Bollywood. It also starred Bollywood’s golden couple,
Shah Rukh Khan
and Kajol. The company then produced Main Khiladi Tu Anari, in the year 1994,
in 1997, and Mela in 2000. The West Side Story remake Josh was produced by Venus Records and Tapes in 2000. This movie turned out to be the 5th highest grosser of the year 2000 in Bollywood. Films such as Humraaz (1967), Baashah (1999) and Hathyar: Face to Face with Reality (2002) have also been produced by them.
