Denis Selarka is a Bollywood film writer, producer, and director. He was born on August 8, 1972, and studied at A.G. High School in Ahmedabad before he took an MBA course at Adam Smith University. He started his career in Bollywood as the CEO of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd in the year 2003. After five long years, he launched his very own production house called Selarka Films and his first independent production venture was in Imtiaz Patel’s romantic comedy film, Mr. Flirt. Some of the films he worked on under Shree Ashtavinayak were Golmaal (2006), Bhagam Bhag (2006),
Jab We Met
(2007), Kidnap (2008), Luck (2009), and Blue (2009).
He is also the distributor of films like

, started a new production company called Red Berry Entertainment. From then on, he landed into film direction and was debuted in the controversial Bollywood thriller drama film,
. The film, which stars
, revolves around the sensitive topic of rape, which many people claimed that the film was inspired by Nirbhaya’s case. Selarka denied this and explained that they have made the film a year before the tragic gang rape happened. He and Simaria also penned the story of Dare You.
