UTV Motion Pictures are the co-producers of the film. The shoot of the movie A Wednesday was completed in 28 days only. The audience liked the movie a lot. Anjum’s family was involved in the restaurant and construction business but he always wanted to do films.

He also did 1 year Diploma in television and film production from Xavier Institute of Communication located in Mumbai. He did his first documentary film named A Mermaid called Aida in the year 1996 and this documentary was about Aida who was a bold, beautiful and sassy transsexual. He also did a very popular daily soap on Zee TV named Daayre in the year 1999.

He also worked with telefilms and while he was working over there he met Tigmanshu Dhumalia who is a very popular director and writer. At that time Tigmanshu was studying about drug trafficking there, and Anjum decided to produce a film about the same.

Charas was Anjum’s first film and this film got released in the year 2004. He has done a film named Flat, a thriller film. Flat film is about two friends Karan and Rahul, who stay together and a ghost of a girl who got threatened by Karan troubled both of them.
