Producer Adam J. Merrifield was born in the UK and resided in Bournemouth, where he produced the acclaimed environmental documentaries Drying for Freedom and the British cult thriller K-Shop. Adam founded the award-winning moving picture agency TLS in 2009 and White Lantern Film in 2005 to make thematically compelling independent feature films. A Patriot, a futuristic thriller starring Border Cop Kate Jones, who defends a low-tech future Britain from a globe torn apart by climate conflicts, was confirmed as being in development by White Lantern Film in August 2017. Jones learns that everything she thought she knew about her country was false. He founded White Lantern Film in 2005 as a local production business focusing on deeply thematic movies after a prosperous career in marketing and the arts.

Most notably, the critically acclaimed, award-winning drama K-SHOP and the environmental documentary DRYING FOR FREEDOM, a Sweeney Todd-inspired film that pits a kebab shop proprietor against masses of annoying, binge-drinking customers. In addition to relaunching Cinova in 2020, which has a 15-year history of working with brands including LV, Sony, Garmin, Mizuno, BT, and Disney, he also founded the annual Short Sounds Film Festival in 2017 to celebrate cinematic sound and music. WLF Advance most recently received Gateway Status for the Kickstart Scheme, which supports employers and encourages young people to pursue new vocations. He collaborates with a broad team to ensure that every day makes a difference across a diverse portfolio of commercial interests, including media, film, app development, management, consultancy, shared services, and the arts.

He used to help writers, directors, and producers develop and produce films, television shows, and documentaries by offering the creative sector business-critical support services.
