Rajat Prasanna is an Indian classical flute player born on 20th April 1987 in Benares Gharana. He is the son of Ravi Shankar Prasanna and the grandson of flute maestro Pandit Raghunath Prasanna. He has two younger siblings, Rohit Prasanna and Rajeev Prasanna. Rajat started learning music under the guidance of his father at the age of 6. He practiced musical notes and rhythms daily for four to twelve hours. Rajat is a master of playing flute in the Hindustani Classical style. He received the CCRT Scholarship, which is presented to young artists. Finding Dorian was the first song of his band Wa Bi. Sa Bi.
Since then, he has performed in various music festivals across India, including World Flute Festival, Raasrang, Delhi International Art Festival, and Guru Gangadhar Memorial Concert. He has collaborated with Strings Pakistani Band, Advaita Band of India, and LRB Band of Bangladesh in the South Asian Bands Festival organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan, India. He has been a part of All India Radio, Akashwani, and Doordarshan several times. Rajat is well-known for creating a magical blend of innovation and tradition.
