Kalyan Baruah who has made a place for himself here in Mumbai. He is the son of late Pramod Baruah and late Chandraprabha Baruah and was born in Dibrugarh Medical College. His father was laboring in the forest department, and from childhood, he was open to various music and society. After his mother died, he went to Guwahati, and his elder sister, Minu Baniya, and brother-in-law Indra Baniya, took care of him.

Kalyan Baruah went to Cotton Collegiate High School and finally completed his Graduation in Anthropology from the prestigious Cotton College.
