Abhishek Mathur is a musician and guitarist. He was born and brought up in Delhi and has been composing music for over seventeen years. He has been producing songs for tv shows, documentaries, and ad films along with others. Mr. Mathur is the lead guitarist and one of the eight founding members of the contemporary fusion band Advaita. Launched in 2004, Advaita released their first album, Grounded in Space, in 2009. Advaita has received several accolades for its significant contributions to contemporary Indian music, including best rock album in the GIMA (Global Indian Music Awards) 2012 awards and best fusion band in Palm Expo 2011.

is one of the famous works composed by the band. Advaita has worked alongside John Leckie, a British recording producer, in making two songs for a compilation released by the British council. Recently, Abhishek launched a project called Plan 17 and released its first-ever single, Hold the Line. It comes under the genre of synth-pop that originated in the early 1980s. Currently, Abhishek Mathur also teaches a certificate course in music production at SACAC (Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication).
