S Madan is a famous music director. He is known for his beautiful compositions in the Hindi as well as Punjabi film industry. He was born on 7th May 1922 in Moga (Punjab). It was the prayers in his school that sparked his interest in music. And gradually as his interest increased and focus shifted entirely onto music, he went on to win many awards and accolades for his songs during his college days. Then in 1938, he entered into proper musical training under Ustad Nazir Khan Saheb. Under Music Director Vinod, he composed music for films like "Ek Thi Ladki" (1942), "Ramman" (1954), "Wafaa" (1950) and "Sabzbaagh" (1951). Then under music director "Aziz Hindi" he composed songs for "Danka" (1969). After directing music for film "Bantwaara" he shifted into the Punjabi music industry, where he composed songs for films like " Mamaji Mamaji is a Hindi serial broadcast on the Doordars >> Read More... ", "Laado Rani", "Sath Saliyan", "Pibbara", "Dharti Veera Di", "Khaid Preetha De", "Dulla Bhatti" and "Laiye Thod Nibhaiye". Later on in the last phase of his career he directed music for films such as "Sher khan" (1962), "Ambe Ma Jagdambe Maa" (1980) and "Teesri Aankh" (1982). Very few people know that he also acted in films like "Damaad Chahiye", "Dukh-Dard" and "Jaldi Kya Hai".
