Anand Raj Anand was a Delhi based music director, singer, lyric writer, and composer in the Bollywood film industry. He is a very consistent artist when it comes to movies and he is in fact a flaring musician. His film scores are pretty blissful while listening and he has been active in the Bollywood industry right from 1996 until the present. His family is pretty known for owning jewelry shop. He moved to Mumbai in 1972.

Anandji Virji Shah was born in the year 1933 on the 2nd of March. He was born in the place of Kundrodi, Kutch of the state of Gujarat. His genre is basically making the film scores. This had indeed set out as a prominent style for Anandji Virji Shah as a music composer and director. He has been active in the Bollywood film industry right from the year 1954 until the present. He is a very popular Indian music director.  His brother's name is Kalyanji and he made a duo music pair with him. This duo had given many hits together and Anandji had won the Filmfare award for the best music director in the year 1975 for the movie Kora Kagaz. During the months of April and May 2007, he had gone to the Tampa Bay locality for a concert of a revival of Java society. Kuleen was the person who was responsible for the event and he was the one who hosted it as well.  He is also widely known for his musicianship as a leading orchestra player and an anchor that made a literal impact. He acquired the Padmashri award in the year 1992. This made this maestro to be absolutely popular among the contemporary artists. Anandji Virji Shah is a music director who, along with his brother Kalyanji Virji Shah, was known as ‘Kalyanji Anandji’ duo. While Kalyanji had passed away on 24 August 200, Anandji is alive. Both the brothers were born in Gujarat. The duo is famous for composing music for films like “Don’, ‘Qurbani’, ‘Safar’,’ Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, and ‘Vidhata’.  The duo had good association with Subash Ghai, Prakash Mehra, and Feroz Khan.  The duo came at a time when veteran music directors like Sachin Dev Burman, Madan Mohan, Naushad, Shankar Jaikishen were ruling the Hindi film industry. Yet the duo left an indelible place in the hearts of music lovers. Since it was difficult to make an entry in the film industry, Anandji’s elder brother Kalyanji started his own musical troupe named ‘Kalyanji Virji’ which organized a musical programme in and around Mumbai. It was Anandji’s brother Kalyanji who made his debut in the film industry with Samrat Chandragupta (1959). The film had Bharat Bhushan and Nirupa Roy as lead pair and the duet song ‘"Chahe Paas Ho"  sung by Lata-Rafi made the film an instant hit. After this, Anandji too came into the scene of assisting Kalyanji and officially both their names got credited for films like ‘Madari’ (1959) and ‘Chalia’ (1961). However, it was Manoj Kumar starrer ‘Himalay Ki God Mein,’ and Shashi Kapoor starrer ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’, established them as composers to reckon with.  The duo had composed a melodious tune for Sunil Dutt and Nutan starrer ‘Saraswatichandra’ (1968).  Legendary singer Kishore Kumar has sung melodious songs ‘Zindagi Ka Safar Hai Ye Kaisa Safar", "Pal Pal Dilke Paas" which was picturised on Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra.  Similarly, Mukesh also gave some romantic songs like ‘Chandan Sa Badan" (Saraswatichandra) and "Chand Si Mehbooba" (Himalay Ki God Mein) which are still popular. It is said that Anandji wanted to become an actor, but he found that his height was a setback to evolve as an actor. Besides music, he also learnt editing and other screen technicalities. He was assoicated with the industry for over five decades. After Kalyanji had passed away, Anandji took interest to groom up young talents, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, Sadhna Sargam, Udit Narayan and Sunidhi Chauhan.  The duo was the favorite music director for Amitabh Bachchan and Feroz Khan. Feroz Khan’s film ‘Qurbani’ fetched platinum disc from musical company Polydor and  Prakash Mehra’s film ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar' fetched anothern Platinum disc from the musical company HMV for popularity of songs. The duo received National film Award for best composer for film ‘Saraswatichandra’ (1968) and won Filmfare award for film ‘Kora Kagaz’ (1974). Anandji was born on 2 March 1938 in Gujarat.  After Kalyanji’s passing away, Anandji has given up scoring music for any film.
