Utkarsh Dhotekar

Known best for the music score of Lapachhapi, Utkarsh Dhotekar is an Indian music composer and music producer who works mainly in Marathi and Hindi films.

Born on August 5 to Umesh Dhotekar and Shashibala Dhotekar, Utkarsh Dhotekar is based on Maharashtra, India. He has a sister named Srushti Dhotekar. Utkarsh did his schooling in St Anne’s High school and later joined St. Xavier’s High School in Nagpur. After completing his college studies from Hislop College, Nagpur, Utkarsh flew to Australia to study Sound recording. He earned a diploma in Recording Arts from SAE Institute in Sydney, Australia, in the year 2011. Utkarsh Dhotekar is happily married to Aanchal Kumar.

He worked for a brief period as Music Producer for the Star Plus serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2009. After graduating from SAE Institute, Utkarsh worked as MIDI Programmer at a company for some time. In 2012, he debuted as a music composer with the short film The Whirlwind Trap. As a music composer, he got his first break for the TV Series Yeh Hai Aashiqui which aired on Bindass from 2013 to 2016. He worked on another TV Series Gumrah End of Innocence, for four years. His composition for the Assamese Kung Fu comedy film Local Kung Fu marks his debut as a music composer in movies. He further worked on the thriller drama Maatr in the year 2017.
