Kabir Rafi

Kabir Rafi is an award-winning Indian music director, playback singer, composer, independent pop artist, and background score artist. He was born on June 24, 1988. Kabir Rafi’s place of birth is Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He lived in or travelled to many cities in India, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Assam (Silchar), Gujarat (Bhuj), and then settled in Hyderabad, Telangana. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management at Regency College in 2009. He also completed his Master in Business Administration (M.B.A) in 2011. Then, he worked as a video vendor with Just Dial Company for almost two years on a contract basis. He follows the Islam religion. He belongs to an army background family.

His grandfather served in the Indian army, and he was a freedom fighter. Kabir Rafi started his music career in 1998 when he was twelve years old. He did many music stage shows and trained in Hindustani classical music in vocals & Tabla (Pratham swash first grade). In 2006, he shifted to Hyderabad because he was getting many opportunities from Tollywood. Here, as an assistant composer, singer, and keyboard player, Kabir Rafi has given a lot of background music for many top music directors and also sang track songs.

Later, he joined Jeevan Thomas, a composer, in 2009 for almost four years. He worked and trained in various professional aspects of music under his class. Kabir Rafi has also got a chance to sing songs in Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi as a playback singer for a few movies. He gave stage performances as a singer for almost 100 events. He has worked mainly on two-hundred digital short films, independent films, web series, and feature films in English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and other languages since 2015. Kabir Rafi was honored with Siima short film awards for a best music director for Kick short film. He won the best short film music director- Telugu award. Also, Kabir Rafi awarded with the Indie Fest short film award in 2015 for best background music for the short film Aa Gang Repu. He received a national award from VR films national award 2016 for best music. Therefore, he received many awards and was nominated at many film festivals.
