Hridaynath Mangeshkar

As the only son of the family, he made his name in the music industry through his hard work. Indeed talent runs in his genes. Hridaynath made his debut in 1955 through a Marathi movie named “Akash Ganga.” Later, he composed music for several Marathi films such as “Sansar, Janaki, Umbartha, and “Ha Khel Savalyancha.” He contributed to some Bollywood movies, including “Lekin, Subah, and Maya Memsaab.” A musical drama named “ Phoolwanti Phoolwanti is a serial TV telecast on Delhi Doorda >> Read More... ” used his music for the theme songs. He has been selective about his composition and majorly works in Marathi and Hindi language.

With the release of two entire albums titled “Chala Vahi Des” and “Meera Bhajans,” including only poems and songs sung by the poet-saint “Meera bai,” he became the first and only composer to do so in history. Hridaynath had been honored by several prestigious awards like the “National Award” given by the President of India and the “Lata Mangeshkar Award of Maharashtra State.” The government of India also awarded him “Padma Shri” in 2009. In the same year, he joined the Political Party “Shiv Sena.”
