Urvashi Rautela is an Indian actress and a top model and she was born in 25th February 1994 in Kotdwar, India. She is 5’ 9” in height. Her father is and mother is Meera. Her mother is a beautician in occupation and father runs a medical shop in Kotdwara. Urvashi studied at the local DAV School and she wanted to become an Engineer when she was young. However, when she was 17, she began participating beauty pageants and her parents blessed and encouraged her to chase her dreams. In the year 2011, she participated Miss Asian Super Model contest held in South Korea and she won the Asian Super Model title. In the same year, she won the Miss Tourism Queen of the Year, held in China. The 18 years old model was crowned as the Miss Universe India on 21st of September 2012. And she was crowned by , the Miss Universe India 2011. However, later she was dethroned from crown due to a disagreement over her age. The smart, intelligent and talented Urvashi Rautela is proud about her journey from a middle class family to being Miss Universe India 2012. She began her Bollywood career in 2013 with “Singh Saab the Great”. This movie was an action romance movie by and there she got the opportunity of starring with . For her excellent performances in “Singh Saab the Great”, she was nominated for several film awards, including Star Guild Awards for Most Promising Debut (Female), Zee Cine Award For Best Female Debut, ETC Bollywood Business Awards Most Profitable Debutant (Female), Big Star Entertainment Awards - Most Entertaining Debutant (Female) and Stardust Superstar Of Tomorrow – Female. In 2014, she appeared in the international video album “Lovedose” of Yo Yo Honey Singh. The album was released on October 2014 and it established her in Bollywood music video industry.
