Sumukhi Pendse is a recognizable face in many Marathi homes and people who watch Hindi television serials.She was born and raised in Mumbai and attended EIS school at Dadar. She was very enthusiastic towards learning. Many might not know that she holds an Architecture Degree and is fluent in speaking the professional German language.
Acting in television was by chance and never a hobby for Sumukhijee. It was her elder brother’s friend who motivated her to try her hand at a stage play. While not an overnight success, she got her first break in a daily soap named AVANTIKA. This show was telecasted on Zee Marathi. She played a negative character in the daily soap. Besides TV serials and movies Sumukhi never shies away from representing herself in plays. She has also acted in Marathi; Hindi and Gujarati plays. She was awarded Zee Marathi Award for Best Actor in a Negative role in 2011 and Zee Gaurav Award for Sthal Snehamandir in 2008.
Sumukhi lives with her parents and did not marry. She possesses an immense love for her pets. Sumukhi is also a good cook and loves to try out new dishes.
