Raveena Tandon

Raveena Tandon is an Indian film actress who is known for doing some commercial cinema and then migrating to serious roles that gave her recognition as a serious actress. She made her superstar debut in film Mohra, which was supposed to be done by Divya Bharti. As Divya died, Raveena was the ultimate choice to play the role of the sexy girl, who did first item song’ Tu Cheez BariHai Mast Mast’. She was often paired with Akshay Kumar, and the duo became the most successful pair in Bollywood. She also made a hit pair with Govinda and did some blockbuster movies with the actor. Raveena made a sabbatical from films and did reject offers such as Dil To Pagal Hai, Gupt, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Virasat, which went to other successful heroines of Bollywood. She surprised critics by acting in a film ‘Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence’ by Kalpana Lajmi. In this film, she played the role of battered wife and received the national film award for best actress. Although her award was under a lot of controversy amongst film fraternity, she shut critics mouth by appearing in 'Aks’, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. She was ultimate choice of film fraternity for donning the role of Neeta, which fetched her supporting best actress category award. She again acted in a serious movie called Satta, and her performance carried rave reviews. In this way, Raveena had scored well against her male-star Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, and even Govinda. Raveena Tandon was the second lady of Madhur Bhandarkar’s next serious and feminist film ‘Satta’ (after Chandni Bar)where Raveena played the role of a politician. After seeing this film, even Jaya Prada was moved by her performance wanted to act in such serious roles. She was busy actress between 1991-94. During this time, she was regarded as influential commercial star personalities of Bollywood. Later she acted with all leading heroes and received wide recognition for her performances in Aks and Daman, which established her an iconic actress as the role in Kalpana Lajmi’s Daman was toughest for any glamor actress to perform. In 2001, she appeared in a Tamil film’ Aalavandhan’, a film directed by Suresh Krissna and had Kamal Haasan playing double roles. She had acted in Telugu(Bangaru Bullodu, Akasa Veedhilo, and Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda) and Kannada cinema even. Raveena Tandon was born on October 26, 1974. Her father is Ravi Tandon, who had directed Amitabh Bachchan films like Majboor and Khuddar. Later, she got married to film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004, and the couple has two children, Meantime, she also acted in a TV serial Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, which veteran actress Meena Kumari did in Guru Dutt’s same movie based on Bimal Mitra’s novel.

Saadhika Randhawa is an Indian actress who balanced her career graph between Telugu movies and Hindi films. She appeared almost in an equal number of Telugu and Hindi films but could not reach superstardom. She made her debut with Sawan Kumar’s Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya in 1997 who made films like ‘Souten’ and’ Saajan Bina Suhagan’. She even had appeared in a Telugu film a year later. Saadhika worked in Telugu and Malayalam films and made her debut in Hindi films with’ Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya’. She got popular for a while with Shikaar (2004) and Goppinti Alludu (Telugu) but failed to clear the level of success. She even played many supporting roles but failed to impress the audience. Success with some of her films but later on due to the list of commercially failed films she turned to Telugu cinema. She worked hard to retain her career till 2005 but later went to oblivion. Later she made a comeback in 2007 with "Phir Tauba Tauba" but the movie was also a big flop. Saadhika Randhawa failed to gather the audience, and many films were not successful at the box office. She even performed on stages too and appeared in the musical album. Her one musical album with Daler Mehndi was a success. The music album Nabi Buba Nabi impressed the audiences as Daler was the most popular pop singer in Indian cinema. After 2008, she tried her hand even in Tamil films too. After which she has vanished from big screen totally and currently she is busy appearing on small screen. She appeared in Bhanwari Ka Jaal, which was directed by Rakesh Saini. She appeared even in TV series Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga. The actress had look and talent, but her appearance in B-grade movies did not give her the stardom that she needed. Currently, her presence in TV serials might make some positive trade mark in her career. With innumerable TV and reality show, we find a definitive list of the actress on Indian TV today.
