The image of an innocent bride's face can be seen while listening to the song Bade Acche Lagte Hai. This bride was none other than Rajni. Rajni Sharma began her acting career as a young performer under the stage name Deepa. She is well remembered among Punjabi film audiences for the role of Nimmo in the 1981 movie ‘Chann Pardesi.’
In her brief acting career, Rajni Sharma has been in a number of successful and well-liked films. Director Tarun Majumdar chose Rajni for the Hindi remake of the Bengali classic ‘Balika Badhu’ after considering other well-known actresses including Sarika and Debashree Roy. Despite the film's popularity, Rajni Sharma did not have any more projects lined up because she had only entered her teens at the time of the film's commencement of production. The reason for this was that the directors were unable to cast her in either lead parts or as a youngster.

She was still young enough to continue with additional films, but by the middle of the 1980s, she was no longer seen on big screens.
