Nupur Mehta, one of those actresses of Bollywood, who haven't got the chance to do more than one or two films but can be called one film wonder. Nupur got fame in 2005 when she made her acting debut in Jo Bole So Nihaal, the film also featured Sunny Deol as the protagonist of the story.

Nupur was born on 3rd November 1980 in Delhi. Her father belongs to Jat family, but her mother is a foreigner from Cambodia. Both her mother and father are surgeons. She did her schooling from Delhi Public School RK Puram, New Delhi and took a bachelor degree in Literature. Nupur won Miss Delhi title at the age of 17, and this boosted her confidence. After winning this title, she shifted to Milan, Italy. She did modeling for six years in Europe with all famous designers.

Nupur also did some TV advertisements for Fanta and Pirelli and she was also part of Fiat calendar. She was on the cover of June 2001 edition of Sportswear International. She also featured in mills and boons novel ‘His Monsoon Bride’ as a cover model written by Aastha Atray.

In Gitika suicide case, Nupur along with her friend Ankita was named in the Gitika’s suicide note. Later, it was revealed that all the three used to work in a hotel and casino in Goa owned by Gopal Goyal Kanda, a politician. Gitika used to work under Nupur and in September 2009, she filed FIR against Nupur for harassment. Later in 2012, Nupur again got the spotlight when her name popped out in the match-fixing case during 2011 Cricket World Cup, held in India.

She filed a complaint against British Newspaper that accused her of proselytizing cricketers. Due to this limelight, she somehow managed to appear in Bigg Boss season 6.
