The original name of Kamini Kadam is Manik Kadam. Born on August 1933 in Bombay Presidency, Kamini worked in Marathi as well as Hindi movies. She worked in films during the 1950s and 1960s. She is a Marathi by origin. Smita is the screen name of Kamini in the 1955 flick Yere Maazya Magalya. This is her first appearance in a Marathi film. Before getting herself involved in Bollywood, Kamini endeavored in several Marathi films.

She was known as Kamini Kadam in Bollywood. It was the year 1958 that she changed her name. The 1958 flick Talaq is her initial film in Bollywood. In this movie, she shared screen space with . This flick dealt with the issues in marital life. helmed direction of this movie. Kamini Kadam looked good in this film and showed her acting prowess too. Her next Hindi film Maa Baap also had Rajendra Kumar’s presence.

After working in some more flicks, Kamini bid adieu film the world during the initial 60s. School Master, Santan, Sapne Suhane are some of the noteworthy flicks of Kamini Kadam. Kamini only had a brief stint with Bollywood. The 1961 flick Sapne Suhane is presumably her last movie. Kamini breathed her last during her 66th age.
