Kalpana Pandit is a famous Indian model, film actress, producer and an emergency physician by profession. She was born in year 1968 and she is the granddaughter of Bhishagratna Ayurveda Vidwan Sri B. V. Pandit, an Ayurvedic physician.

After obtaining a degree in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), she took Doctor of Medicine (MD) in USA. Initially, she worked as a television commercial model for popular brands like Wheel Detergent Powder, Nyle, Mysore Sandal Talc, Ranipal Stain Remover, Sirtex and more.

She was debuted as an actress in M. F. Husain’s Bollywood film, Gaja Gamini in year 2000. In the following year, she was featured in Ashok Mehta’s film, Moksha in the year 2001. She did a dance number in the film to the tune of Jaan Keva, which became a blockbuster and was still remembered even until today.

Kalpana made a special appearance in a track entitled Meri Jawani for the Bollywood film, Pitaah in the year 2002. She was also seen in Sanjay Jha’s Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye and made another special appearance in the Bollywood action film, Om in 2003. In the same year, she acted in the Hindi romance film, Pyaar Kiya Nahin Jaatha. In the year 2004, she made a special appearance in the Telugu film, Anandamanandamaye.

She was also seen as a supermodel in the Bollywood comedy film, Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav and in Deha in 2007. In 2009, Kalpana acted in Anubhav, alongside Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Suri, Anoop Menon, Sudha Chandran, Rakesh Bedi and Shruti Seth. Later, she acted in the romantic comedy film, Love Khichdi.

'She turned producer in a Kannada film entitled Jo Jo Laali in 2010, where she bagged the Best Actress Kannada award at the South Indian Mega Short Film Festival Bangalore in 2011 and the Best Actress award at the Bangalore Short Films Festivals in 2013. This is the first time that her own production house called House of Pandits has produced a film.

In the year 2012, she was starred in the Tamil action film, Panithuli along with Ganesh Venkatraman and Shobana in the lead roles. In the same year, she was seen in the Hindi romantic thriller film, Janleva 555, which was produced under her own production banner. She made her debut in the American acting field through a short film entitled The Chinaman in 2013 and Tum Ho Yaara in 2014, which she also co-produced.

Kalpana has been a jury in several events in US including the Miss International 2011, which was held in New Jersey, the Mrs. America 2012 held in Arizona and the Mrs. World 2013 in China. She has been a judge in the dance competition, Naach Revolution in the year 2013 in New Jersey.

Kalki Koechlin is a famous film actress, model and screenwriter, known for working in Hindi films. She was born on January 10, 1984, in Ooty, Tamil Nadu in India to Joel Koechlin and Francoise Armandie. Her father came to the country from Angers, France many years ago and met Francoise in Auroville, Puducherry. They are both followers of Sri Aurobindo.  Later, they lived in the village of Kallaty near Ooty and started their own business. Initially, Kalki went to Hebron School in Ooty during her kindergarten and later moved to a school in Mysore for a short time, before going back to Hebron to finish her studies. Just like what her brother did, she went to Goldsmiths, University of London and took drama and theatre while working in Theatre of Relativity for the span of two years. She acted in several plays including the prose comedy, The Dispute by Pierre de Marivaux, The Blue Room by David Hare and The Rise of the Wild Hunt.  Subsequently, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in the Hindi film industry. At first, she did some modeling jobs for some commercials until she was shortlisted for a role in the romantic black comedy drama film, Dev.D. However, she is a trilingual and only knows Tamil, English and French languages, so she had to undergo some preparations for her role as Chandramukhi.  Her performance as Leni, the modern Chandramukhi, to Chanda, a bubbly prostitute, was acclaimed critically, and she earned her first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in the year 2010. In  2011, she acted in the Hindi thriller film, Shaitan and was later starred in the coming-of-age comedy-drama film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which was helmed by Zoya Akhtar.  The director wanted to work with her after seeing her in Dev.D, and she felt that she would suit the character of Natasha. The critics declared their positive comments about her performance in the film, and she earned a nomination at the Filmfare. In 2011, she played the lead role and co-wrote Anurag Kashyap’s thriller film, That Girl in Yellow Boots, alongside Naseeruddin Shah.  Once again, her performance as a British girl, who’s working in a massage parlor, was acclaimed critically. In the same year, Kalki was starred in the Bollywood film, My Friend Pinto, together with Prateik Babbar. The film turned out to be a box-office flop, and it was panned by the critics. In 2012, she acted in the political thriller film, Shanghai, which stars Abhay Deol and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles. This film received moderate success at the box office.  By the year 2013, Kalki made appearances in Kannan Iyer’s Ek Thi Daayan and Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. This film turned out to be the 7th highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide. She received her third nomination at the Filmfare for her outstanding performance in the film.  Also from 2013, she was seen in an anti-rape campaign video entitled It’s Your Fault, together with VJ Juhi Pandey. It went viral in the online world and garnered a total of 150,000 views in just two days. She played as a girl with cerebral palsy in Shonali Bose’s Margarita with a Straw in 2014. Her character as Laila, who is seeking for love and acceptance, earned her the Best Actress award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.  Besides acting, she turned writer and producer in several stage plays in the country including Color Blind, Skeleton Woman (where she bagged the MetroPlus Playwright Award in the year 2009), Trivial Disasters and many more. She believes that theatre is a playground for an actor, and she gets sharpened there as an actor. She established her very own theatre company called, Little Productions and started directing plays.  She got married to actor-director, Anurag Kashyap in 2011, but they filed a divorce on May 19, 2015. “Kamini Khanna” is a famous Indian celebrity hailing from Mumbai, Maharashtra. She was born to a prominent actor “Arun Ahuja” and a legendary classical vocalist “Smt. Nirmala Devi”. Initially, the doctor said to reduce minimum 5kgs and Kamini decided and promised to shed down 20kgs, all thanks to her determination. Walking and exercising was not possible due to her weak physical conditions. But she didn’t give up. She used to wear an orthopedic belt around her waist and a collar around her neck and walked in her terrace. She also started doing yoga. She changed her diet. Her diet included all fruits, vegetables, water, drinks, juices, herbs, dry fruits, etc. She also started meditating which improved her nervous system. Gradually, she lost around 15kgs and gained confidence and started working. Just like her parents, Kamini is also an immensely talented singer. Her passion for singing and music were since her early days of her life. After being an amazing singer, she has proved to be having great conversational writing skills. She has written the story, dialogues and also the screenplay for some movies like ‘EkNaiDisha’ and ‘Aunty No. 1.’Moreover, one of her directorial ventures includes a film titled ‘Sukh.’ She is not only the music director but also is the lyricist and the background musician for the same movie. Kamini has not just worked behind the scenes for movies.
