Heena DSouza is a writer, director, actress, and producer known for several masterpieces and short films. She is one of Bollywood's top female filmmakers, and she has carved a niche for herself. She is well known for her short films across the nation and takes a keen interest in her passion. She started her journey in Mumbai in 2010, where she moved for work during that year and gradually developed a deep interest and passion for theatre. She used to work as a content writer in an educational innovation firm developing multimedia content for schools. Her entry into the world of films was an unexpected one. She moved into a job in a company called Homeveda, co-owned by a man named Vinay Mishra. Mr. Mishra also owned a digital short film platform called Humaramovie, and their offices operated in the same building. Since Heena held a passion for short films and was a good writer, she decided to write a short film by herself and pitch it to the Humaramovie office.

Her script was made into a movie by a twist of fate and soon became viral on YouTube. Since then, there was no looking back. She joined Humaramovie and soon started writing and directing movies, documentaries, and corporate ads. She is an in-house director, writer, and script curator with this organization and has made several breakthroughs in her career since then. "Pressure Cooker" got nominated for the Filmfare, Mumbai International Film Festival(MIFF), and won the Best Film in Talenttrack Digital Awards award.

This movie of hers became a part of an anthology called "Shuruaat Ka Twist," which was released in theatres in 2019. The reviews she got from the audience and film critics were fabulous, and her fame even rose to higher levels. Several reviewing platforms like the Indian Express and the Times of India. She made another short titled " Sarvgun Sampann," which was eventually nominated for the Filmfare. Her most recent work is that of " Mukesh Jasoos," a crime thriller that rather breaks the traditional preconditions for a thriller t be appealing. She believes that the thriller genre has become grim and dark, and she wishes to bring something less complicated and fun.

Heena has many aspirations on the hook, and she wishes to break the traditional boundaries of genre specifications and introduce something which is a mix of all, a versatile form of shows which will focus on multiple genres and at the same time none specifically.
