Gauri Pradhan Tejwani or Gauri Pradhan or Nandini Virani is an Indian actress and model. She was born on 16th September, 1977 in Pune, Maharashtra, India. She has an elder brother and a younger sister. Her father is an Ex-Officer of Indian Army. She completed her schooling from Carmel Convent School in Udampur, near Jammu and Graduation at S.P. College. In 2004, she got married to
Hiten Tejwani
. She gave birth to twins, son Neevan and daughter Katya on 11th November 2009.
She began her carrier as a model and in 1998 she participated in
Miss India
. She did many advertisements for different companies such as Bru, Dabur, Ponds, Santoor, Keo Karpin, Sprite, Colgate, Philips etc. She got her first break in a TV serial as a lead role in “
Noorjahan
” as an empress Noorjahan which was telecast on Doordarshan in 1998. After that, she played a lead role in a Sony TV serial named “
Kutumb
” in 2001. The show was a super-hit and another sequel of the same show was produced. She also worked in “Naam Gum Jayega” as
Priyanka Singh
. She did a few cameos and short series as well. In 2004 she got a supporting role in the famous Indian television show “
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
” by the name of Nandini. The telecast was featured on Star Plus. She got many awards for this role. She was also a part of “Left Right Left” as Shona Das who an Army Consultant. She took a break of five years from her career because of her delivery.
She participated in many reality shows with her husband Hiten Tejwani such as Nach Baliye 2, Kabhi Kabhi Pyaar Kabhi Kabhi Yaar, Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?, Nach Baliye 4. She won “Star Parivar Award” for favorite yogya bahu, favorite Jodi, favorite bahu in different years. She won “Sansui Television Awards” for best actress in supporting role, “India Ne Banadi Jodi Awards” for best Jodi of the decade. And all these awards were given for the popular TV serial “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”.
