Daniela Zacherl

Daniela Zacherl is an actress from Austria who gained popularity from ‘ Spanish Masala Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ a Malayalam film in which she played the role of ‘Cameila’. She was found by one of the most reputed filmmakers in the Malayalam film industry, Lal Jose.

While she had auditioned for the role in his film, which was released in the year 2012, the director had claimed that none of the actresses who were foreigners had the ability to blend in with the culture of Malayalis other than Daniela.

Daniela attended the Schwammberger Ballet School from 1990 to the year 2006 after which she attended the University of Vienna and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in the year 2011. Later in the year 2013, she majored in Arts in Acting from the University of Essex.

As a young girl, Daniela was into all sorts of co-curricular activities including dancing, singing, acting and modeling. She was acting from a very young age. She has performed in many plays during her young years.

She has been trained in various dance styles and especially in hip-hop. She was a part of ‘Millennium Dancers’ for about three years and had contested in the ‘Cheer Dancing World Mastership’ in the year 2007. Apart from plays and short films, ‘Spanish Masala’ was Daniela’s debut into the big screen film industry.

She was called for an audition during her stay in Vienna. She said in an interview that she was found with the help of an agency by a Malayali named Sinjo. She appeared alongside some of the most well known and famous stars in the Malayalam industry such as Dileep, who played the role of ‘Charlie’ opposite to Daniela’s ‘Cameila,' Biju Menon, Kunchako Boban, Nivin Pauly and Archana Kavi. After ‘Spanish Masala’ she appeared in many foreign language films like, ‘Loverazzi’ in 2014 and many other short films.
