Dhirendra Nath Ganguly aka Dhiren Ganguly/ D G is a Bollywood actor who was born on the 26th of March 1893 at Kolkata, India. He was married to Premika Devi. He graduated from Visva Bharathi University at Shantiniketan. He received the most prestigious Padma Bhushan Award in 1974 and Dadsaheb Phalke Award in 1975.
D G has directed several movies such as Cartoon, Dhabi, Ahuti, Night Bird, Lady Teacher, etc. His films as an actor include Shesh Nibedan, Hal Bangla, Mastuto Bhai, Panchasar, Sadhur Aur Shaitan, etc. He has also produced and written script for a few films. Dhirendra Nath Ganguly died on the 18th of November 1978 at his hometown, Kolkata.
